Tangerine
is the common name for a variety of Mandarin orange. The mandarin orange
is native to southeastern Asia and has been widely cultivated in
orange-growing regions of the world.
Emperor Tangerine is a rare tree species that can only be found in China, a country with over 4,000 year’s history of cultivation.
The fruit is green-orange, smooth and glossy. Seed number ranges from 4-5 per fruit.
The emperor tangerine is smaller and round in shape, has a thinner rind and sections that may be readily separated. The fruit has higher soluble solids than sweet oranges. Because of this, the unique texture reminds us of biting into a very tender steak. It is amazing and blessed with a high sugar content and excellent flavor.
Emperor Tangerines are a good source of vitamin C,
folate and beta-carotene. They also contain some
potassium, magnesium and vitamins
B1, B2 &
B3.
The season of maturity for emperor tangerine is between mid November and end of December.
As a unique native product of China, emperor tangerine is not only sold well in domestic market, but also enjoys popular sales in Europe and Asia countries.
By awarding of this huge market potential, we have established an advanced technology of storing and keeping fresh to ensure supply of quality seasonal fresh fruits. |
